WHYC Sailing Instructors
The diverse panel of six sailing instructors, each outfitted with a unique sailing background, ensures a dynamic classroom experience. We are very fortunate to have five members of the 2010 instructing team rejoin the program for Summer 2011, headed by Natalie Sawyer of Columbia University. Each instructor has made a commitment to teach our junior sailors and will continue their dedication this summer. Likewise returning are: Emily Maxwell of Boston College, Alexander Rudkin of Roger Williams University, Erik Farnsworth of Springfield College, and Corey Fast of University of Aberdeen. Rounding out our instructing team is newcomer, Patrick Murphy of University of Connecticut. Our 2011 Visiting Instructors are: Todd Riccardi of Sturgis Boat Works and former 420 Clinic Coach, Pete Largress. We are happy to welcome our instructors to another successful season on the water in Watch Hill!
